AddOns you find here will expand D1X-Rebirth and D2X-Rebirth by adding new or improved content to the games.
Installing them is as easy as copying a file – literally: Just copy the downloaded ZIP-file into the directory where your usual game content resides (platform dependent; see docs of your DXX-Rebirth package) and it’s done. There is no extraction or configuration needed. To uninstall an AddOn, just delete the ZIP-file again and you are done.
Hires pack for D1X-Rebirth
This AddOn adds Hires (640×480) backgrounds, briefing images and fonts to D1X-Rebirth. If you are using the Windows-version of D1X-Rebirth, this AddOn is already included. Also if you use the Macintosh game content you won’t need this AddOn since it’s content already included by default.

Soundtrack in OGG format – SC-55 Version
This AddOn Pack will add a new version of the game’s original Soundtrack to DXX-Rebirth. For an authentic gaming experience, all music was recorded with the Roland Sound Canvas SC-55 MIDI Module as they were meant to be heard in the 90s.

This AddOn Pack will add a new version of the game’s original Soundtrack to DXX-Rebirth. For a nostalgic gaming experience, all music was recorded with the Yamaha YMF262 OPL3 Soundchip.

German Briefings
This AddOn Pack translates the game’s briefings into german language. Please note this will only affect the briefings, robot descriptions and outro of the original Descent campaign.

Missing Sounds from Macintosh Game Content for D1X-Rebirth
If you use the Macintosh game content, you might not hear any sound effects as these were not included in DESCENT.PIG file. This AddOn will fix this. Note that this AddOn is already included in the Mac OS package of D1X-Rebirth.
